Before stepping onto this path, I lived many lives – as a police officer, cabin crew, and even a magician. Later, with just my savings, I built a recruitment business that grew into a multimillion-turnover company. But it wasn’t smooth sailing; I nearly lost it all. My life has been a rollercoaster of adversity, success, and reinvention – a tapestry of experiences that shaped who I am today.
For years, I thought money and material possessions would fix the feeling of not fitting in — something I’d often put down to being gay. But I came to realise I was repressing my sensitivity, pushing down the very essence of who I was. As Ram Dass said, the “spacesuit” didn’t fit. Outward success left me unfulfilled, searching for more.
That search brought me back to my roots – grandson of a working medium, mentored by some of the world’s most respected teachers – and into a lifelong exploration of spirit and consciousness.
On this podcast, I share my stories, lessons, and experiments – from mediumship, psychedelics, and meditation to creating the life you truly want. Alongside my journey, you’ll hear from thought leaders and seekers across the spiritual umbrella.

Please join me in welcoming Colin Flaherty, a fourth-generation medium with a rich and diverse background in spiritual exploration.
Colin's path to spiritual awakening began after a troubled and self-destructive youth. It was around the age of 21 that he started to gradually, but surely, approach life in a completely different way. His exploration into the spiritual realm took root in his 30s, following a significant life change—his divorce and subsequent move into his own flat. Despite having a medium and spiritualist for a mother, Colin was not exposed to any spiritualist concepts or ideas during his upbringing. This allowed him to grow and develop his spiritual path without preconceived notions, making his journey uniquely authentic.
Colin's first step into the spiritual world was through a meditation group, which he attended at the invitation of a friend. With no prior knowledge of meditation, he decided to give it a try, and what started as a curious exploration turned into a six-year commitment. This experience opened the door to a profound engagement with physical phenomena and physical mediumship, leading Colin to train and study various forms of mediumship and healing extensively.
A pivotal period in Colin's spiritual journey was his four-year involvement with the Crow Tribe of Native Americans. Invited to participate in several ceremonies, this experience profoundly altered his perspective, personality, and life. Additionally, Colin assisted in running a spiritualist church in West Virginia, USA, alongside his mother and stepfather during this transformative time.
Colin's spiritual work has taken him across the globe, including to the USA, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, where he has touched countless lives with his gifts. His journey is a testament to the power of spiritual transformation and the incredible potential within us all to change and grow.
